Letter to Kindergarten Parents

Registration for the 2024/25 School Year is Open!

Good Afternoon Parents, Caregivers, and HW Community,

We would like to invite all eligible incoming kindergarten families to register for the 2024/25 School Year. To be eligible for kindergarten for the 2024/25 school year, your child must turn 5 years old prior to September 1, 2024. 

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: We will host a Kindergarten Parent Information Session on Tuesday, February 27th at 6:30 p.m. at Cutler School. The Kindergarten Parent Information Session will include a general overview of kindergarten, the screening process, information on how to prepare for kindergarten, and a look at a typical day of a kindergartener.  

HWRSD Registration is online through ASPEN. You can find the link with instructions on our website: https://www.hwschools.net/family-resource-ctr/registration. 

ARE YOU A CURRENT HWRSD PARENT? You will use your current ASPEN family log in to create a NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION. 

ARE YOU NEW TO THE HWRSD? You can find instructions of how to CREATE an ASPEN account to register HERE (this must be completed on a computer - it cannot be done on a phone or tablet).

IMPORTANT: Before you register, gather the following documents needed to complete registration:

Student Documents:

❏ Child’s Original Birth Certificate or Passport (we will make a copy)

❏ Most recent Physical examination (within one year)

❏ Immunization Record (see website for Immunization Requirements)

❏ Evidence of Lead Paint Screening (Pk & K only)

Evidence of Residency (must provide most recent copy of ONE of the following):

❏ Mortgage Statement

❏ Lease or Rental Agreement

❏ Section 8 Agreement

❏ Property Tax Bill

Evidence of Occupancy (must provide most recent copy of ONE of the following):

❏ Excise Tax Bill

❏ Pay Stub

❏ Utility bill (electric, water; not cell phone or cable)

This is the start of an amazing educational journey for your children in the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District. Our goal is always to work together to nurture confident, cooperative, and independent kindergarten learners. We look forward to meeting our new students soon!
