The Hamilton-Wenham Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) Parents Rights Workshop
Tuesday, October 22nd from 6 – 8pm
This workshop will provide a comprehensive introduction to special education laws and procedures. We will cover the purpose of the law, referrals, evaluations, and the team meeting process including determining eligibility. You will also learn what to do if the student is not eligible and the parent’s procedural due process rights for resolving disputes. The Federation for Children with Special Needs hosts additional parent workshops on topics such as, “Transition Planning” and “Understanding the IEP”. To develop an Educational Plan, the school building committee invited community stakeholders into a visioning process to determine what a new elementary school could provide for our students. The Ed Plan provides the guiding principles, goals, and features the team uses to develop the elementary school design. You can watch the informational video HERE.

Wenham Museum is excited to announce a new drop-off program for Hamilton-Wenham Elementary students, for early release Wednesdays. More Information HERE
Every Wednesday during the school year, Wenham Wednesdays will feature activities such as craft projects, board games, LEGO building, paper crafts, and more – plus time for students to explore the museum galleries with friends.
Program hours: 1:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (extended pick-up to 4:00 p.m. available). Students should bring a nut-free snack and water from home.
Bus transportation from the HW Regional School district is available to this program from the local elementary schools. Children will be met at the bus stop across Rt. 1A from the Wenham Museum by museum staff. Families are required to arrange any bus route changes with the school district.
Members: $25/day (add $10.00 for extended pick-up)
*Discount code entered at check-out is required to receive the member rate. Active membership is required and will be verified after registration.
Non-Members: $35/day (add $10.00 for extended pick-up)
