acord food pantry food drive
Jennifer Caufield

Please help us restock the shelves at the Acord Food Pantry! Did you know that in addition to providing food and household items to families in need, they also stock “snack closets” at all five of our district schools?

Students and faculty at the Regional will work together to collect as many items as possible!

The most wanted items include:
- cereal
- coffee
- baking mixes (regular and gluten-free)
- condiments
- canned foods (soups, baked beans, veggies etc)
- snack foods
- Ensure
- peanut butter/jelly
- rice/pasta

In addition, all non-perishable, unopened, and non-expired items will be graciously accepted. Our drive will run from Wednesday, September 4th through Thursday, September 12th.

Students can bring items to homeroom each morning and families are welcome to drop items off during Curriculum Night (9/11).

Thank you in advance for your support.

free breakfast
Jennifer Caufield

GREAT NEWS!! Hamilton Wenham School District is excited to announce that we will be serving free breakfast to all students! To coordinate the breakfast it will be extremely helpful if you fill out this quick SURVEY.

We are still working out the logistics for each school and more details will follow in early September. The breakfast program will be given to those students who sign up for the week and will start the week of September 16th. It will be a weekly sign-up going out on Mondays and be open until Thursday afternoon, this is to ensure accuracy and efficiency. More information about the HWRSD Nutrition Services Department can be found here.

Free and reduced meal benefits can be applied for at any time during the school year. Applications are available on the HWRSD Nutrition webpage or by contacting the Food Service office at 978-468-0398.

Q: If meals are free this school year, why do I need to fill out an application?

Filling out an application helps newly eligible children receive P-EBT funds. You may be eligible to reduce or waive academic and athletic fees too.

Q: If meals are free this school year, why do we still need to use MySchoolBucks?

If your child would like to purchase snacks or assorted drinks -- they will need funds in their accounts. If your child brings lunch from home but would like to purchase a drink such as milk or juice, there is an additional cost. More information about the HWRSD Nutrition Services Department can be found here.
