Join the HWRSD Strategic Planning Committee
Jennifer Caufield

Join us in a vital effort to shape the future of the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District. We are beginning development of our 2026-2031 Strategic Plan, which will serve as our essential roadmap for the next five years, guiding our teaching, learning, facilities, and operations. Please fill out this brief FORM.

To be successful,  the plan must reflect the collective values and areas where we, as a community, want to grow and improve. Our work will be centered on the Instructional Core—the interaction between the student, the teacher, and the content—while focusing on academic and social-emotional outcomes.

We are seeking a diverse, energetic group of volunteers to serve on the Strategic Planning Committee (SPC). This committee will be instrumental in analyzing our current context, envisioning our future, and drafting a plan that serves as our district’s "North Star."

The committee will meet on the following dates in the High School/Middle School library between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM:

  • February 4, 2026: Introductions and Orientation
  • February 25, 2026: Data Investigation and Core Values
  • March 11, 2026: Identifying Pillars and Strategic Objectives
  • March 25, 2026: Developing Strategic Initiatives
  • April 8, 2026: Finalizing Initiatives and Outcomes
  • April 29, 2026: Final Review and Theory of Action

Our ultimate goal is to create a dynamic plan that prepares every student in our care to “engage with the future with creativity and confidence.” Director of Teaching & Learning Jennifer Clifford and I are eager to work alongside you as we embark on this exciting journey.  If you can commit to the dates above and would like to serve on the Strategic Planning Committee, please fill out this brief form.

I look forward to collaborating with you as we grow toward excellence together.

HW DECA's Powerful Showing at the Career Development Conference
Jennifer Caufield

On December 10th, 275 Hamilton-Wenham High School students participated in the DECA District 3 Career Development Conference. DECA success is truly a reflection of the skills our students develop every day across classrooms, activities, and experiences throughout the district—not just what happens in business classes. The 275-student team showcased exceptional talent and
determination, earning well-deserved recognition for their achievements.

Our students had a phenomenal showing, 107 students qualified for the State Conference. DECA is about applying communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and professionalism in real-world scenarios, and our students demonstrated those skills with confidence and maturity.

Together, we can begin shaping the next steps toward ensuring safe, modern, and inspiring schools for all children in our Hamilton-Wenham community.
