Congratulations to all of the 2025 Greater Boston Regional History Day winners! On Saturday, March 8th, the Greater Boston Regional History Day contest took place. Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School competed against 25 other Massachusetts schools. Six of our projects will advance to the Massachusetts State History Day contest at Winchester High School on Saturday, April 12th. This year’s theme is Rights and Responsibilities in History. A special thank you to all of the teachers who have worked closely with our students since September on their research projects: Kristen Borges, Brett Burnett, and Johann Knets. The workshop will be presented virtually via ZOOM by Tracey Morgan, a special education advocate. Everyone must register via the Zoom link in order to receive the meeting link and presentation materials for this workshop.

This workshop will provide a comprehensive introduction to special education laws and procedures. We will cover the purpose of the law, referrals, evaluations, and the team meeting process, including determining eligibility. You will also learn what to do if the student is not eligible and the parent’s procedural due process rights for resolving disputes. The Federation for Children with Special Needs hosts additional parent workshops on topics such as “Transition Planning” and “Understanding the IEP”. The Hamilton Wenham DECA Chapter returned home triumphant on Saturday, March 1, from the 66th annual Massachusetts DECA State Career Development Conference (SCDC) with 12 students qualifying for the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando, FL.
Ninety-eight Hamilton Wenham students joined over 4,000 students, advisors, and business professionals for the 3-day conference where students competed in over 50 categories of marketing, hospitality, finance, and entrepreneurship. Hamilton Wenham DECA earned seven medallions for a top score on the comprehensive exam or role play, 20 Top-12 Finalist medallions, and 12 State Champion trophies.

Please join Superintendent Eric Tracy, district staff, the Project Management Team, and Architects to tour Cutler School on Saturday, March 15th, between 10AM and 12PM. District staff will be available to answer questions and talk about the proposed Elementary School all morning.

HW Boys Basketball (15-5) has earned the #12 seed in the upcoming MIAA Division IV State Boys Basketball Tournament. The Generals will host traditional Division IV powerhouse and #21 seeded Cathedral on Friday, February 28th at 5:30 PM in the Round of 32 at Hamilton Wenham Regional High School.
HW Girls Basketball (14-6, CAL Champs) has earned the #7 seed in the upcoming MIAA Division IV Girls State Basketball Tournament. The Generals will host familiar CAL foe and #26 seeded Amesbury on Friday, February 28th at 7:00 PM in the Round of 32 at Hamilton Wenham Regional High School.

Join Broadway star Jake Ryan Flynn for a one-night-only debut, "Being Alive", to benefit HWRHS Theater! Singers of all levels are welcome to audition for this all-student chorus. Don't miss this unforgettable chance to singe with a Broadway star and support the arts! Student chorus members will watch the show LIVE in VIP seating as they will only be performing two songs.

The one-man show is on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the North Shore Music Theatre! This event aims to raise funds and awareness for the Hamilton Wenham Theater (also known as the Ferrini Dramatics Center) and is a community-wide partnership with The Hamilton Wenham Edfund, North Shore Music Theatre, The Community House and Stage 284, Hamilton Wenham Friends of the Arts, and more, to raise awareness for arts and culture in our community.
