The Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School community welcomed families, faculty, and community members to the 2026 Senior Symposium on May 13th, an annual showcase celebrating the academic research and internship experiences of the senior class. Ninety-four seniors presented the culmination of their second-semester work, sharing research projects developed through extensive literature reviews and real-world internship experiences across the North Shore.
Throughout the high school library and cafeteria, students presented on a wide range of topics and reflected on experiences that strengthened their critical thinking, research, writing, communication, and professional skills. The Symposium highlighted not only the depth of student scholarship, but also the meaningful ways students are connecting classroom learning to future college and career pathways.

On May 3rd, students from Miles River Middle School came home triumphant with GOLD from the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild Middle School One-Act Festival (METG), a statewide event that celebrates student theater through one-act performances, collaboration, and technical theater excellence. Twenty-eight MRMS students worked tirelessly on every facet of the show, "Inside The Lines", including performance, costume design, prop and set construction, light design, and sound design.
Congratulations to the entire cast and crew, as well as the staff and families who supported this outstanding achievement and celebration of student creativity, collaboration, and performance.
Miles River Middle School earned GOLD for their production of the student-written production of Inside the Lines, along with multiple individual and ensemble excellence awards.

The Hamilton-Wenham Friends of the Arts is excited to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Melody Miles, our annual 5k fun run/race at Winthrop Elementary School, on Saturday, May 23rd at 10 AM (onsite registration opens at 9 AM). Our talented student performers are also returning to sing and play for you as you walk, run, or dance your way along our scenic local race route. And don’t worry, if you still want the challenge of our 5-mile race, we are offering the option as a virtual opportunity for you to still support the arts AND get a coveted race t-shirt.

Congratulations to all of the 2026 Massachusetts State History Day competitors and winners! On Saturday, April 11, 2026, Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School competed against 75 other Massachusetts schools. This year was the biggest state competition since Massachusetts started competing in National History Day in 1982. TWO of our group projects are advancing to the National History Day contest. Congratulations to Samantha Lenocker, Irene Ji, Lydia Wang, and Viola Fazio on this impressive accomplishment.
National History Day will be held at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, June 14 - 18, 2026. This year’s theme is Revolution, Reaction, and Reform in History. You can read more about the projects HERE.
