Homeschooling Information

In developing your Home Education Plan(s), please know that the state requires a minimum of 900 hours of direct instructional time for all elementary students, as 990 hours for all middle and high school students. You are strongly encouraged to obtain a complete set of Curriculum Frameworks from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. They can be downloaded from their website and they contain the state’s learning standards for each grade level. The frameworks can help you develop an appropriate Home Education Plan that should be transferable to any district in the state.
