Positive vibes at Cutler
Supporting students’ social-emotional learning is a priority during this unusual time. Each week we stop as a school to talk about our Monday Moods or Friday Feelings. This gives students an opportunity to interact with each other and to build their emotional vocabulary. Noticing and being able to name our emotions are skills we work on throughout elementary school, and finding opportunities to allow students to connect in the classroom helps build friendships inside and outside of school. Ask your child, “How are you feeling?” each day and help them build their understanding of emotions.
