Why was the Winthrop School not considered? Was it because Hamilton wants to develop the property for 3A?
Watch Eric Tracy answer the question HERE, begins at the 22:55 minute-mark.
No. The Town of Hamilton has clarified that the Winthrop property is not included in the proposed 3A zoning, as shown in a map published in HW News (Vol. 1, Issue 21). Read more on the Town of Hamilton website.

Winthrop School was not accepted into the MSBA program because the MSBA identified Cutler as having greater need. However, they did allow us to study a possible school consolidation, which included a complete evaluation of the Winthrop site. That review found significant space limitations. There isn’t enough room to build a new school on the site while keeping Winthrop open. Any project there would require phased construction, which brings serious drawbacks: more student disruption, higher costs, and a longer timeline.
