Isn’t there enough space to move some elementary grades to the middle school and shift 8th grade to the high school?
Watch Eric Tracy answer the question HERE, begins at the 43:22 minute-mark.
If the Middle School and High School have “space” because of enrollment, this does NOT mean there are extra classrooms and or that there is space sufficient or appropriate for a major grade-level restructuring. There are many things to consider, including overcrowding, developmental and social challenges, special education services, and facility limitations. The middle and high schools weren’t designed to accommodate additional younger grades and would require costly renovations and staffing changes, without solving the core issue of aging, inadequate elementary buildings.
