Next week will be an extra exciting back-to-school week! Not only will we be welcoming all of our students back, but it will also kick off the return of fall sports to our BRAND NEW  Hamilton-Wenham Athletic Facilities. 

“Gerry the General,” the Hamilton-Wenham mascot, has been spotted all over town at the schools, fields, and local businesses to kick off a week-long celebration of school spirit and community pride. We hope the whole community will join us for a week filled with Athletic events culminating in the FIRST EVER  Friday Night Lights home football game, and a community-wide Fields Opening Celebration on Saturday, September 6th at 6:00 PM 

All fall sports events other than Friday Night Lights are free for the community to attend, and the Saturday Fields Opening Celebration is also free. Organizers encourage all Hamilton-Wenham residents to come out, enjoy the new fields, and be part of this historic moment.

The Fields Opening Celebration will feature live music, inflatables and games, pickleball, food stations including a Senior Class–run Snack Shack, community booths, student athlete and artist performances, and remarks from town and school leaders. The evening will close under the lights with a rallying cry of the campaign: ALL IN HW – ROLL GENS.

This is more than a ribbon-cutting. It is a moment of transformation for the district. From Gerry the General sightings, to Friday Night Lights, and finally the Fields Celebration, we are creating moments that bring the community together with pride and connection.
