Goal I: Establish
an appropriate learning climate
1.1 Build
a positive school community supported by students, teachers and parents. (Buker)

a plan that addresses adolescent substance abuse at the High School. (High School)

improve the school resources for learning (High

a district technology plan that assures both curriculum and academic services

1.7 Develop
a strategic plan for the

students in meaningful learning
2.1 Teach
students explicit strategies to become more engaged and responsible learners
through a school-wide focus on “effective effort”. (Cutler)
2.2 Strengthen and build children’s
confidence in written and oral communications. (
2.3 Collaborate
with teachers to increase the performance of special education students in
mathematics on the MCAS to meet the Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) defined by the
No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). (

Review
student programming needs at each level and develop a plan to meet those needs
effectively: (1) integrated full-day
kindergarten and language-based programs at the elementary level; (2) an alternative
program at the middle school; and (3) an alternative program at the high school.

for student learning in preparation for the High School Self-Study for NEASC reaccredidation
