Spring Athletics: Mandatory Meeting will be Tuesday, March 14th at 6:00 PM (3/6/18)
The Mandatory Meeting for Families and Student-Athletes to cover Spring Tryout and Sport Information will be held in the HWRHS Auditorium on Tuesday, March 13th at 6:00 PM. Following the general session, teams will have breakout meetings to discuss the particular details regarding their program.
State Tournament Updates (3/1/18)
HW Boy's Basketball will host Pentucket Regional High School on Saturday, March 3rd at 7:00 PM at HWRHS in the Division III North Quarter Finals.
All fans should enter through the Miles River Middle School's main entrance. Tickets will go on sale at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $7 for Adults and $5 for Students (12 & Above) and Seniors (62 & Above). Children under six are free. Only MIAA Passes, Media Credentials and Military ID can be used for free admittance to the game.
As this is an MIAA Tournament Game: We remind you that signs, body paint and noise makers of any kid are not permitted in the gymnasium.
HW Girl's Basketball fell to North Reading last night on the road, 47-27 in the 1st Round of the Division II North Tournament. Congratulations to the Generals, who finished the 2017-18 season as CAL Champs. It was the first time in 18 years the team won the league title.
HW Hockey was eliminated from the Division III North Tournament last night to Newton South last night, 6-0. That caps a terrific season for the Generals, who went from zero wins last year to the State Tournament this year in only their second season in the re-birth of the program. It was the first time in 11 years overall HW Hockey made the tournament.
Hamilton-Wenham Announces New Softball Coach
The Hamilton-Wenham Athletic Department would like to announce the hire of George Shaprio as the school’s next Varsity Softball Head Coach. Coach Shapiro comes to the Generals with an abundance of coaching experience at all age groups of AAU Softball over the last decade. Most recently, Coach Shaprio has coached the North Shore Magicians U18 Team.
Coach Shapiro will be joined by Molly McLean, a former player at Salem State. Coach McLean will assist the varsity team as well as serve as the Head Coach of Junior Varsity.
State Tournament Updates (2/27/18)
HW Boy's Basketball defeated Wilmington this evening, 70-46 in the 1st Round of the Division III North State Tournament. The Generals advance to face the winner of tomorrow night's Pentucket / Amesbury match-up in the Quarter Finals. The date and time of the next round is still TBD.
Congratulations to Marblehead Girl's Co-Op Ice Hockey on a terrific season. Earlier today, the Magicians fell to Masconomet, 2-0 eliminating them from the State Tournament.
State Tournament Updates (2/25/18)
Congratulations to HW Boy's Basketball, HW Girl's Basketball, HW Boy's Ice Hockey and Marblehead Girl's Co-Op Ice Hockey on qualifying for their respective MIAA State Tournaments. The following details will be updated as information becomes available throughout the week.
HW Boy's Basketball (17-3, CAL Champs) has earned the #3 seed in the Division III North Sectional. The Generals will host #14 Wilmington in Round 1 on Tuesday, February 27th at 7:00 PM at HWRHS. Game day time lines and ticket information will be posted late Monday evening.
Marblehead Girl's Co-Op Ice Hockey (10-6-1) has earned the #24 seed in the Division I North Sectional. The Headers will travel to Haverhill Valley Forum in Haverhill (7 Partridge Road) and face #9 Masconomet in Round 1 on Tuesday, February 27th at 4:00 PM.
HW Girl's Basketball (11-9, CAL Champs) has earned the #12 seed in the Division II North Sectional. The Generals will travel to #5 North Reading High School and play the Hornets in Round 1 on Wednesday, February 28th at 7:00 PM. Game day time lines and ticket information will be posted late Monday evening.
HW Hockey (8-7-5) has earned the #10 seed in the Division III North Sectional. The Generals qualified for the State Tournament in only the second year of their return to varsity action. HW will travel to O'Brien Arena in Woburn (55 Locust Street) and face #7 Newton South in Round 1 on Wednesday, February 28th at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $8 for Adults and $6 for Students and Seniors. The MIAA is requesting that fans please arrive early as parking could be tight.

INDOOR TRACK: CAL Championships - Tuesday, February 6th at 6:00 PM at Reggie Lewis Center (Boston, MA).
GYMNASTICS: CAL / NEC Championships - Friday, February 9th at 7:15 PM at Yellow Jackets (Middleton, MA).

Hamilton-Wenham Names New Head Girl’s Lacrosse Coach (1/26/18)
The Hamilton-Wenham Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Abby Schibli as the school’s next Varsity Girl’s Lacrosse Head Coach. Schibli has previous coaching experience as Brimmer and May’s Head Coach as well as a stint as an assistant at Pingree School.
A graduate of the University of Vermont, Schibli was a four year starter at Mid Field for the Women’s Catamount Lacrosse team and was selected Captain during her final two seasons.

Registration is Live for those student-athletes wishing to participate in Girl's Ice Hockey at Marblehead High School. Please go to the Family ID Web Site, type "Hamilton-Wenham" into the search box and click on the separate registration for Girl's Ice Hockey at Marblehead High School. You can follow the instructions within the Registration.
