Friends Meeting Minutes

Treasurer’s report:

• Balance from April 7, 2208:  $10,818.92
• Income from Jungle online: $395.00
• Coffee Cakes: $2550.65
• Expenses: Coffee Cakes: $1508.85
• Spaghetti Dinner: $131.55
• Scholarships: $2000
• Ending balance: $10,124.17

Principal’s report:

• Mr. Krol reported that the Teacher Appreciation was “the best ever” and was very much appreciated by all!
• Although Mr. Krol still wants a lobster bake, in place of the Spaghetti Dinner, we will be having a Thanksgiving Day Breakfast.  Deb in the kitchen has graciously accepted to help run the event out of the High School café.
• Bob requested that the Friends consider giving to the co-curricular Club programs at the High School in the Fall. There was a unanimous agreement that we would give between $6000-$8000 to the Clubs that would support the majority of the student body.  We will continue giving scholarships to seniors each year. 

Coffee Cake update:
Many thanks to Terry vonStaats for all her work in coordinating the pick up and delivery.  Also a big thanks to Nancy Hughes for selling the most coffee cakes ever!  We raised almost $1100 in profit!!

HWstuff update: 
Thanks to Liz Heffernan, we raised $350 in merchandise sales this spring. We hope to do the sales 3 times a year starting in September.

Scholarships: 
We will be giving two $1000 scholarships this year.  We had a record amount of applicants, 78.   

Teachers’ Luncheon: 
To be held on MONDAY, JUNE 16, 2008, 11:45am in the HIGH SCHOOL CAFÉ.  Seniors will be doing drinks; Juniors will be providing rolls and meats, Sophmores- salads, and Freshman- desserts.  An email will go out requesting donations.  We will be serving about 100 staff members at the High School.  Question call Grace Chmura at 978 468-3251 or chmura5@verizon.net
