Our school district is in very close communication with the our school physician, the Hamilton and Wenham Boards of Health, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), and the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) in regard to seasonal and H1N1 flu. We are carefully following all advisories and guidelines issued by authorities. We are also stressing preventative measures
with all students and staff. Please see government sites for more information about prevention.  We encourage you to contact your child’s school nurse if you have questions or concerns (see phone listing below).

Please consult this page regularly for latest developments and informational updates.
Look below for messages, advisories, and flu information.

The state and federal governments have several online documents that are available by accessing the Flu.gov website (www.flu.gov) or (www.mass.gov/dph/swineflu).

There are three fact sheets that are of particular importance in this website. They are:

* Action Steps for Parents if School is Dismised or Children are Sick and Must Stay Home (http://www.flu.gov/plan/school/parentfactsheet.html)
* Action Steps for Parents to Protect Your Child and Family from the Flu this School Year (http://www.flu.gov/plan/school/parentfactsheet2.html)
* Action Steps for Parents of Children at High Risk for Flu Complications (http://www.flu.gov/plan/school/parentfactsheet3.html )
The Center for Disease Control has a Question and Answer site under H1N1 Flu that you will also find helpful (http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/qu.htm)
